Doors open Day - Participants wanted!

SKDT is coordinating 2016 Kintyre Doors Open Day on 24th and 25th September 2016.

Doors Open Day takes place throughout Scotland and is part of European Heritage Days, giving free access to places that are normally closed to the public. Some open up once a year, some just once in a lifetime.

SKDT is delighted to have brought Doors Open Day back to Argyll after an absence of several years. Last year was extremely successful with national press coverage and over 400 visitors to 14 venues. We hope that our 2016 event will entice visitors to explore the peninsula, stopping off at other places of interest along the way. The DOD theme this year is Innovation, Architecture and Design so we hope to offer a programme as diverse as last year.

We are currently looking for participants who will provide free access to buildings which are normally closed to the public with architectural or historic interest.

SKDT will also support any other activities taking place that weekend e.g. walks, tours, talks and exhibitions. Promotion will include your logo/website and information appearing in the Doors Open day Brochure, SKDT website plus extensive press, PR and social media coverage.

If you are interested in taking part please email info@skdt.org. You can also find out more on the SKDT website and the official Doors Open Day website
