Self Storage

 

The development trust is receptive to the needs of the voluntary sector and realise that grant funding is not the best way to deliver projects of benefit to the community and a sustainable income stream is required. In the pursuit of this aim SKDT have been investigating the potential for setting up a self-storage social enterprise in the South Kintyre area.

 

Thanks to a grant of £9,500 from Investing In Ideas, SKDT was able to conduct market research and develop a business plan to establish if this idea could become commercially viable. SKDT are continuing to investigate this possibility and aim to have a site ready and the finances in place to build/refurbish a building to be used as a self-storage facility.
