Voluntary Action Fund

A Volunteer Support Grant from the Voluntary Action Fund enabled SKDT to employ a Volunteer Coordinator to oversee the recruitment, training and support of volunteers taking part in various community projects and town enhancements which are already underway or about start. These include community landscape projects, putting green, Doors Open Day and intergenerational activities.

Volunteers also help us with Admin and research in the office.

Before VAF funding our volunteers were predominantly from professional working backgrounds. We are now able to reach people from a range of different social backgrounds who require support in their volunteering.

We can help volunteers realise their potential.
