Funding Success brings new staff to SKDT
After a very competitive round of Applications to the Voluntary Action Fund, SKDT have been awarded a £10,000 Volunteering Support Grant. This funding has enabled us to employ a volunteer coordinator who will oversee the recruitment, training and support of volunteers taking part in various projects which are already underway or about to start.
SKDT are delighted to welcome Duncan Ainscough to the roll of Volunteer Coordinator. Duncan has a background in community development, education and working with volunteers, all based at grass roots level.
Having recently relocated from East Renfrewshire, He is finding his feet in Argyll and Bute but is very excited about this opportunity and has already started meeting with partner organisations and volunteers.
His first and primary directive will be the enhancement of the stalled space to provide a featured community garden.
If you would like to volunteer with skdt he would love to hear from you! Duncan@skdt.org
