Town Centre Regeneration Feasibility Grant Received

SKDT has been awarded £10,000 from the Scottish Government to develop a vision and action plan for the community-led regeneration of Campbeltown town centre. The Government wants to see communities play an active role in regenerating their town centres and this project will allow us to explore how we can work with other local organisations to achieve this common goal. We want to review existing success stories, explore what local people think about the town and how it could be improved - and most importantly, how we, the local community, can be involved in that process. We are one of just 5 towns in Scotland to receive this funding and have until 31st March 2016 to complete the study. We will posts updates in future editions of the newsletter.
