SKDT’s Volunteer Coordinator Sarah Thompson recently facilitated a Training Programme for some enthusiastic young people to assist with the Campbeltown Picture House at The Victoria Hall Weekend event.

Customer Service Training was provided by Katherine McPherson which proved extremely successful. We have your contact details now Katherine and there is no escape!..........

The 9 volunteers who were training to be ushers and assistants were tutored in all aspects of customer service including dealing with tricky customers. One of SKDT’s Directors played the part of a difficult customer – I wonder which one – can you guess? SKDT is delighted to have been of some support to The Picture House and wish them every success for the future!

It's impressive to see SKDT actively training young volunteers for roles at the Campbeltown Picture House. The hands-on experience in customer service will surely benefit them in future endeavors. I can relate to the importance of community involvement; it often leads to unexpected opportunities, like those in the gaming community where having strong support systems, such as the one at GWYF Guide, can really enhance the experience for everyone involved.
